Between past and present

The romanticism and Baroque references of the Belle Époque are reimagined in a contemporary idiom.

Lace becomes an architectural motif, incorporated into glass balustrades using laser cutting. Set against this decorative vocabulary is a resolutely contemporary symbol: the barcode.

Excess as a guiding principle

Le nom The Madness of Greatness donne le ton : ici, tout est volontairement surdimensionné.

A monumental bookcase conceived as a cabinet of curiosities, a wine cellar, bespoke banquettes and floor lamps create a spectacular, immersive setting.

Pierre David’s silver-leaf paintings, created especially for the project, extend this theatrical composition.

A contemporary setting

Combining historical memory, decorative references and contemporary design, La Folie des Grandeurs creates a theatrical world in which extravagance becomes a true architectural principle.
